Touring around villages and castles north of the coast

 We had a wonderful time experiencing the areas away from the coast.   Lots of interesting villages and towns and great castles.

The ancient farmhouse where we stayed.  This has been a place of hospitality to pilgrims travelling from Rome to Portugal since the 1000s.

A change of plans...While in Bengaluru, Joe got sick and we decided that rather than seeking medical attention in Indian, we would change our plane tickets and head to Paris, where we have been able to rent an apartment in the Latin Quarter near the Sorbonne.  Joe has recovered, but I got sick and have been taking it easy.  So now we begin a French adventure.

Finishing off France - Les Beaux Villages

Saint Tropez ... and another Castle

 Driving further west along the mediterranean, we visited the town of Saint Tropez.  This town was famous as a playground of the rich in the 1920s.  It later became a haven for modern artists.
