Our home for two weeks.

We were fortunate to get a small (!!) apartment in the Latin Quarter, near the Sorbonne.  We are just outside of the tourist area and there are great shops.

The apartment is on the fifth floor and the building has a small elevator.  The building was built in 1870 and the apartment has many original features.  Especially interesting a the floors.

Being in bed for the most of three days, this has been my view of Paris.

A change of plans...While in Bengaluru, Joe got sick and we decided that rather than seeking medical attention in Indian, we would change our plane tickets and head to Paris, where we have been able to rent an apartment in the Latin Quarter near the Sorbonne.  Joe has recovered, but I got sick and have been taking it easy.  So now we begin a French adventure.

Overnight in Japan

The journey to Delhi from Kamloops was three flights.  We broke up the long flight from Vancouver to Delhi with an overnight in Tokyo.  The first was 9 hours, and the second 9 1/2  hours.  Air Canada is no longer flying direct from Vancouver to Delhi due to not flying over Russian air space, while Air India, like many Asian airlines, continues to fly over Russia.  A direct flight is 15 hours.   Mt. We went for a stroll when we arrived at the hotel in Tokyo.  We discovered a Pachinko Hall.  While gambling is illegal in Japan, Pachinko, a game somewhat like a combination of a pinball and a slot machine, is seen more as an amusement rather than as gambling.   Joe outside a Pachinko Hall Inside the Pachinko Hall The hotel where we stayed overnight was a few kilometres from the airport.   RV Sized Bathroom in the Hotel Breakfast Japanese Styl...
